Let's Get it Done!: Saturn Retrograde (June 26th) From Sunflower's Perspective

Before I begin my write up on this, please note that I am not the astrologer. I do, however, turn to astrology to help explain the energies that I am dealing with, and the vibes that I deal with in my day to day work as a spiritual advisor.

Saturn is the ....let me see.... My Very Earnest Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas (the order of the planets)...6th planet in our little cosmos of the Universe. He was named after the Roman God, Saturn. Along with the attributes of Saturn and some with Greek God, Cronus (I know....it's confusing but when one civilization conquered the other they tried to appease by bringing together their gods and goddesses), Saturn the planet became associated with being the ONE IN CHARGE.

That's how I understand Him to be. Saturn, the Father of all the Roman/Greek gods and goddesses. So He plays the role of disciplinarian, authoritarian, and the obey right away or else rule setter. Believe it or not, He can be a good influence on those of us who like to daydream or get carried away from wanting to face the harsh reality that this world can be.

We do need structure and order that Saturn represents. Remember too, He is Father Time. Tick Tock! Time is going, and it's not replaceable. Get done what you can do today. Don't have the umption to function? Lost on the emotional ocean? Well.....let's just sit you down with Saturn for a few moments.

Or you can just wait for the retrograde to happen.

What's a retrograde? It's some astrological phenomena that happens to all the planets at various times of the year. It's when the planet is seemingly at a stand still or moving backwards (when it's not but it can appear that way if you're seeing it through one of NASA's telescopes). You and I wouldn't know about it, but that's why we have astrologers and astronomers to tell us when to mark it on our calendar. Right?

So Saturn's Retrograde started Friday morning on June 26th and it's going to go until November 15th.

Let me tell you. I was feeling the effects of this days before it was happening. Because of my connections with the Universe at large I suppose, He was always getting me ready to put my Moonwalking shoes on....you know, the Moonwalk...that Michael Jackson sliding backwards dance?

(Holy Mother of God and all the saints, I just noticed that He went retrograde on us in Pisces.....no wonder I'm talking about daydreamers and sensitives). Hold on to something...I don't know what, but ground yourself. Don't try to hide under the bed or pillow, I've already tried that. It doesn't work. Saturn is backing up and on the move.

Days before the actual retrograde time, it has been like Saturn's grabbing me by the throat and shaking me up a bit to say, "Get to it!" Hence, the blogging. Hence, slowly going through stacks of papers and boxes. Hence, taking steps to begin making forward motions of what needed to be done. I keep wanting to hide behind my computer screen and grab my crochet. I'll just wait for readings and all of this will pass.

Saturn has been like the big bad wolf, "You can't run and hide! I"m not going to let you!"

"Breathe in, breathe out, don't make me scream and shout. I said, Breathe in, breathe out, don't knock His arse out." (from a recent meme I saw on FB). Maybe that's why I've always been a huge gal, so I can take on these giants. (Oh, did I write those thoughts out loud). Can you imagine me kicking and screaming with Saturn?

If you've been putting off things that need to be done or making changes needed to advance, this is your wakeup call. Saturn doesn't mess around either. If you have felt the overbearing thought of, "I need to do this," then we have an understanding.

Saturn's energies create in us that drive to achieve but setting the boundaries too. Order! Making most of your time! Rules! Discipline! That's all Saturn. He can be down right brutal. Brutal enough to leave me in tears some mornings when I"m like, "I can't do it! I just can't!"

And Saturn in Retrograde says, "That's enough of that! Let's get it done!"

A special note to my clients, please for the love of God and all that is holy and just.....please pay attention and don't let Him show up in our reading sessions. We'll both be crawling under desks and chairs while I'm yelling into the phone, "Pay Attention! PAY ATTENTION!"

Pay attention to what has been left undone. Pay attention to what needs to be let go. What has been on your mind to do? What have you been putting off that you're being encouraged to take care of?

"Let's get it done!"
